New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath came down heavily on the Congress, accusing the party of “disrespecting Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and neglecting Dalit and underprivileged communities.”

Speaking at a press conference, Adityanath alleged that the Congress “only cares about Muslims.”

The CM accused Congress of orchestrating Ambedkar’s electoral defeat and failing to honor his contributions adequately.

“The Congress never thought of building memorials for Baba Saheb. In contrast, the Bharatiya Janata Party has developed the ‘Panchteerth,’ commemorating the five key sites associated with Ambedkar’s life,” he said.

Yogi Adityanath also criticized Congress for amending the Constitution’s Preamble during the Emergency, introducing the terms ‘secular’ and ‘socialist.’ He claimed these additions were not part of Ambedkar’s original vision. The UP CM said Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ) is dedicated to building a nation reflective of Ambedkar’s dreams.

“The BJP has worked tirelessly to uplift Dalits and marginalized communities, giving due respect to Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. The Congress, on the other hand, has a history of neglect and appeasement politics,” he asserted.

“Every Indian holds Baba Saheb in high reverence. The BJP is committed to upholding his vision and ensuring social justice for all,” Yogi added.
