WPL Retention Day: After the IPL Retention, the Women’s Premier League Retention has gained steam as franchises would be prepping to chalk out a strategy. All 5 WPL teams ready to release their Retention Lost ahead of WPL Auction. WPL 2025 to be held in March 2025. Today is the day when all five franchises will submit their list of retained players. The WPL gives an opportunity to young female cricketers to flourish and progress.

WPL Retention Rules

Each franchise is allowed to have 18 players and out of that, six can be overseas. Once the franchises confirm the players that they will retain, there would also be a mini-auction. The auction dates are yet to be confirmed. The WPL auction purse for the upcoming edition is Rs 15 crore. It has been increased from Rs 12 crore in season one to Rs 13.5 crore last season.
