Youssef En-Nesyri equalised in the 49th minute for Fenerbahçe, therefore negating the goal scored in the 15th minute by Christian Eriksen. It was a thrilling 90 minutes. Manchester United star Lindelof gets heavily criticized for his performance against Fenerbahçe 

Following his poor performance in the most recent game against Fenerbahce, Manchester United fans have expressed their discontent with centre-back Victor Lindelof. Following their UEFA Europa League encounter on October 24, the Red Devils came out with a 1-1 tie, their third straight game without a victory in the competition.

Manchester United had already lost points before this encounter; they drew their initial group game against FC Twente and then played to a 3-3 stand-still against FC Porto in Portugal. A suspension following his red card in the Porto game left Captain Bruno Fernandes out for the Fenerbahce encounter, therefore compromising the midfield.

Having just one victory in their past six games, manager Erik ten Hag made various adjustments for the trip to Istanbul. He put Swedish international Victor Lindelof on the starting lineup and teamed him with Matthijs De Ligt on defence.

Christian Eriksen started the score in the fifteenth minute, but Youssef En-Nesyri equalised just after halftime and found the goal in the forty-nine minute. En-Nesyri connected from Allan Saint-Maximin with a well-placed cross headed from close range. Lindelof, who battled to successfully monitor En-Nesyri’s run, was blamed by many for the goal. In the 55th minute Lindelof was replaced to make room for Casemiro. Although the Swedish defender looked dissatisfied with the decision, his absence seemed to energise the squad because Manchester United showed a more attacking attitude for the whole second half.
