The Rock Determines His ‘Mount Rushmore’ of Wrestling, Iconic Figure Surprisingly Absent From List

As one of the biggest names in the pro wrestling industry, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson strengthened the legacy which his family heritage built-in sports. As a third-generation superstar, the great one built a career which influenced a lot of wrestlers in today’s time. But back in the day, The Brahma Bull joined the wrestling promotion as a rookie, and while working with WWE for more than two decades, the 54-year-old has crossed paths with several talented superstars and icons. Johnson recently opened up on some of his top wrestlers as he spoke about his Mount Rushmore of wrestling.

The Rock Reveals His Wrestling Mount Rushmore, Huge Name Surprisingly Absent

During an interaction with LadBible, The Rock listed his four top wrestlers who are his Mount Rushmore of Wrestling. He picked out ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant and Ric Flair as his picks. Surprisingly, one of the greatest WWE stars, the Undertaker, did not make it to his list of preferred wrestlers.

“So, my Mount Rushmore of WWE stars would be ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, the ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair, and I would have to go with Andre the Giant,” Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson revealed.

The Rock’s Prime Rivalries: An Absolute Cinematic Treat In The Attitude Era

The Rock has had quite some history with most of the aforementioned wrestlers during his active wrestling days. He has had some heated rivalries with wrestlers like ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, which was one of the most dreaded on-screen rivalries in the attitude era. Rocky and Hogan also had quite a clash, and their match-up at WrestleMania 18 goes down as one of the most iconic WWE matches to date. Speaking of Ric Flair, while he was largely associated with NWA & WCW, he had an eventful run in the WWE, and he often clashed with The Rock while he was a part of the Evolution stable as its leader.

While The Rock is not a full-time wrestler in the WWE, his cameo appearances and short runs have often added intrigue among the fans. After making a surprise appearance at the Bad Blood PLE, it is yet to be seen whether he will make another wrestling run in the WWE.
