Rohit Sharma will not travel with Team India

While the exact nature of Rohit Sharma’s personal reasons has not been disclosed, it has been reported that he will not be part of the initial traveling party because of the birth of his second child. It is unclear at this stage whether he will join the team later or miss the entire tour.

According to RevSportz, the Indian team’s pre-departure press conference is scheduled for Monday, where head coach Gautam Gambhir will address the media without Rohit Sharma. However, it is unlikely that any further information about Rohit’s situation will be revealed at this stage.

Meanwhile, the BCCI has named Jasprit Bumrah as the vice-captain of the team and he is likely to take charge in case Rohit Sharma misses out. The first Test match between India and Australia is scheduled to start on November 22 in Perth.
