Gautam Gambhir Lashes Out At Social Media Cricket Experts, Sets The Score Even With Netizens

Team India’s head coach, Gautam Gambhir addressed media in his press conference before the Indian team jetted off to Australia for the 5-Match Test series, the Border Gavaskar Trophy. The Indian Cricket Team and coach Gautam Gambhir received a lot of flak on Social media after their 3-0 series defeat to New Zealand. 

When asked about whether Gautam Gambhir was feeling the pressure due to criticism on Social Media, the coach shrugged off all doubts and let the netizens know on what he thinks about their opinion.

Gautam Gamhir was asked in his press conference about what did he make of the criticism received on Social Media. To which, Gautam Gambhir had a simple reply – it doesn’t matter to him. 

“What difference does it make tell me? Social media what difference does it make in my life? And for that matter, anyone’s life.” said Gautam Gambhir.

For the first time in history, India were whitewashed in a three or more Test match series at home when they lost to New Zealand 3-0. Gambhir admitted that India were outplayed against New Zealand but said he wasn’t feeling the pressure. 

“When I took up this job, I always think it’s going to be a highly difficult job and highly prestigious job as well. And honestly, I don’t think as if I’m feeling the heat, because my job is to be absolutely honest. And there are some incredibly tough people in that dressing room who have achieved some great things for the country and will continue to achieve some great things for the country. So it’s an absolute honour to be coaching them and coaching India,” said Gautam Gambhir in his presser.

Gautam Gambhir and Team India have 10 days to finalise their preparations as the first Test between India and Australia is scheduled for 22nd November in Perth.
