Valtteri Bottas Shifts Lanes, Conquers The Ironman Triathlon at Home Following Sauber F1 Departure

One of the most entertaining drivers, Valtteri Bottas, has been a famed personality in the F1 circuit. Throughout the years, he has competed for high-profile teams and has also teamed up with seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton. Bottas, who might be without an F1 seat in the upcoming season, took up a new challenge which tests the endurance of an athlete, and he showcased peak physical capacity.

F1 Driver Valtteri Bottas Proves Peak Physical Endurance By Completing The Ironman Triathlon 

As Valtteri Bottas pondered a move after his termination from the Sauber F1 Team, the Finnish motorsport driver performed one of the most arduous physical challenges, the Ironman Triathlon. He did not hit the tracks and did the entire thing in his backyard. The triathlon involves 2.4 miles of swimming in the first round, which leads to a 12-mile cycling run, and then it heads into a marathon-like run for 26.2 miles.

Bottas shared the video over the social media platform Instagram, and The Finnish driver completed the entire challenge while at home and made use of all the things necessary to complete the challenge. He utilized his backyard swimming pool for the first round, followed by a home cycling setup and then a treadmill for the marathon run. The triathlon is known to test the endurance of the athletes who participate in the event, and Valtteri also made a pit stop to do some stretching, as he felt excruciating pain while performing the task. However, he managed to complete the entire endurance course within the time limit, which generally lasts for 17 hours with some cutoff times for every round.

Concerning Kick Sauber, the F1 Team has experienced a significant transformation. The motorsport team signed Gabriel Bortoleto, a 20-year-old Brazilian driver who will debut in Formula One in the following year. Together with Nico Hülkenberg, Bortoleto will compete in 2025 and possibly beyond.

Due to the decision, Zhou Guanyu and Valtteri Bottas, the current drivers for the Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, will not be able to compete in Formula One in 2025. Sauber’s car has been mainly uncompetitive this season, and neither has scored a single point. Since 2022, they have both been with Sauber. According to reports, Bottas may play a reserve role for Mercedes AMG F1, his previous team.
