A new era is underway at Manchester United as new manager Ruben Amorim officially joined the club on Monday, November 11th. Ruben Amorim takes over the Manchester United job to replace out of favour Erik Ten Hag who was sacked by the club last month. 

Ruben Amorim’s arrival at Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon brings a lot of excitement among United faithful as they hope the Portuguese manager can revive their fortunes. Manchester United’s dressing room is also excited over Amorim’s appointment as Red Devils star Casemiro has heaped massive praise on their new boss. 

Casemiro heaps praise on Ruben Amorim

Ruben Amorim has officially started working as the Manchester United manager as he made his way to Carrington. As Ruben Amorim joins United, defensive midfielder lauded the Portuguese manager for his work at Sporting Lisbon and said he was a winner. 

“Ruben Amorim is a winner. Everyone speaks highly of him. We’re waiting for him with great joy and happiness,” said Casemiro. 

Casemiro further said that the entire dressing room is hungry to perform and win more titles as Amorim will walk into an excellent dressing room. 

“For sure Amorim will have exceptional group here, who want to help, who want to keep growing, who want to learn, who want to be at the top of the table,” said Casemiro.

Expectations high for Ruben Amorim

Ruben Amorim led Sporting Lisbon to two Portuguese league titles and joins the Red Devils with a lot of fanfare and excitement. 

Amorim upon joining let go interim manager and club legend Ruud Van Nistelrooy as the Portuguese wants to work with his own staff.

After 11 games in the Premier League, Manchester United are a lowly 13th in the table with only 15 points. But they are out of the top 4 spots by only 4 points. Hence, Ruben Amorim’s aim will be to atleast steer them to a top 4 finish in his first season in charge of the club.
