The Telugu Titans with Pawan Sehrawat leading the charge are among the fan favourites in the city of Hyderabad. And while the team have not had the best start, a contest against the Dabang Delhi K.C. represents a chance to return to winning ways.

The Telugu Titans kicked off their PKL Season 11 with a resounding win against the Bengaluru Bulls, but lost against the Tamil Thalaivas and the Jaipur Pink Panthers after that. One of the aspects the Telugu Titans need to work on is the defensive unit.

“We have to work hard to ensure that we don’t repeat our mistakes in the next game. Our combinations worked well in the opening game, but since then it has been tough, but time is on our side and against Dabang Delhi K.C. we will make a comeback,” said Pawan Sehrawat, captain, Telugu Titans.

High-flyer Pawan Sehrawat believes that even though the results have not gone their way in the recent games, there are plenty of positives for the Telugu Titans. The captain had a fantastic start to the season as an individual player, as he achieved the 1200-point milestone in the PKL on the opening day when the Telugu Titans won in style in front of the home crowd.

“We have been starting our games well, and yes, in the final stages the opponent has pulled ahead of us in the game. We have played well for large periods of our matches, but small mistakes have let us down. If those one or two moments had gone our way, the result and the conversations would have been very different,” he said.  

Coach Krishan Kumar Hooda added, “We have had situations of minor mistakes, but the players are doing well, and they have our full backing. We have a good squad, and we have to play together as an unit and then we can surely win. All the teams in the competition are good, but we are confident that our plans and combinations will come good.”

The first match of the day will se U Mumba play the Bengal Warriorz. While U Mumba lost their opening game against Dabang Delhi K.C. and won against the Gujarat Giants, their opponents Bengal Warriorz, who are led by the Sultan Fazel Atrachali, lost a close contest against the Jaipur Pink Panthers and then defeated the in-form UP Yoddhas.

The second game of the day will see the Telugu Titans led by Pawan Sehrawat take on the Dabang Delhi K.C. While the Telugu Titans have lost 2 of their 3 games so far, the Dabang Delhi K.C. team have won one and lost as many in their opening two games of the season.
