Mumbai: A pregnant woman and her family narrowly escaped a life-threatening situation on Wednesday evening in Maharashtra ‘s Jalgaon after an ambulance engine caught fire leading to a powerful explosion.

The incident took place in Jalgaon’s Dadawadi area which was captured in a video showing the ambulance engulfed in flames with the sparks shooting a massive explosion. Due to the explosion, the windows of nearby homes shattered.

The emergency occurred while the patient was being transported from Erandol Government Hospital to Jalgaon District Hospital.

The ambulance driver noticed smoke coming from the engine and quickly evacuated the woman and her family to a safe distance.

Shortly after everyone disembarked the engine ignited and minutes later the oxygen cylinder inside the vehicle exploded, reducing the ambulance to fragments.

In the heart-chilling incident, no one was injured in the accident and the pregnant lady was safe.
