Travis Head, who singlehandedly, took the ODI World Cup away from India last year at the same time, is ready to take on Rohit Sharma’s men in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Ahead of the start of the series, the opening batter gave a rundown of what the contest might have in store. In the process, he was also asked to name the Indian player who he thinks could prove to be most lethal against the Aussies in BGT.

Travis Head Picks The ‘Hottest India Player’

The option of Jasprit Bumrah was put in front of him for the tag, but Travis Head is off the view that Rohit Sharma overtakes the star bowler in this aspect.

“I don’t think he’s that good looking. Potentially [he’s got some work to do]. I think there’s been hotter. I like Rohit’s work. I am happy with the Dad setup. I think he’s got the most style out of all of them. He stands at the top, takes them on, double stepping blokes in the powerplay. Both [physical attractiveness and cricketing skills],” Head told Channel 7.

“I think people will [find him attractive]. Yeah, I just like the way he gets about it. Yeah, around the sheds. I am happy with it. I am happy with his setup. Jasprit, got some work to do. Maybe, after the Test matches [you pass that on],” he added.

Travis Head has punished India before and could pose problems for the visitors again. However, it is what the Border Gavaskar Trophy is all about. Both teams will field their best XI and as horns will be locked with almost equally daunting challenge, it would be the individual brilliance on the day that will separate the two sides. The much-anticipated 5-Test affair between India and Australia will commence on November 22, 2024.
