The standoff between India and Pakistan over the Champions Trophy 2025 continues, as the BCCI has informed the ICC that they will not send their team to Pakistan. The PCB has written to the ICC in response to India’s refusal to cooperate, seeking explanations for their decision. Pakistan Cricket Board’s chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, continues to deliver his explosive remarks as the dispute with the Indian Cricket Board continues. He recently made a strong statement during his address which was targeted towards the BCCI.

Mohsin Naqvi Aims Dig Towards BCCI, Claims Nobody Could Give Them A Tough Time

While speaking to the local media at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Mohsin Naqvi assured that the Champions Trophy would certainly take place in Pakistan. He also spoke about the ongoing tussle over the location with India and the BCCI after it was revealed that the Indian team will not be travelling to PAK for CT25, citing security issues. As they intensify their preparations for the forthcoming ICC tournament, Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi stated that no one could give them a hard time despite the ongoing standoff.

“We will ensure that Champions Trophy is held in Pakistan. We have written a letter to the ICC, we are awaiting a response. We are just talking to the ICC. I believe sports and politics should not be mixed together. I am just hoping for a positive result.

“[Hume Koi Tough Time Nahi De Sakta] I think no one can give us a tough time. Every ICC member has its right, things cannot function like this. I am just hoping for a positive result when it comes to Champions Trophy,” said Mohsin Naqvi.

As the Pakistan Cricket Board supremo reviews the preparations for the upcoming tournament in Lahore, the PCB wants the ICC to reveal the schedule as soon as possible and also wants the BCCI to engage in a conversation about the issues that are standing between them.

India has not engaged in any bilateral cricket with Pakistan since 2012 after the Mumbai terror attacks. Both nations now only compete in the ICC tournaments, and their last encounter was the ICC T20 World Cup tournament in 2024. It is yet to be seen whether India will travel to Pakistan for the marquee ICC tournament.
