6 Bangladeshi Nationals Arrested in Karnataka’s Chitradurga with Fake IDs

Chitradurga: Six Bangladeshi nationals, suspected of illegal entry in India detained by police in Karnataka’s Chitradurga. The arrests were made as part of an operation to investigate a larger network of Bangladeshi migrants in the district.  

Six Detained with Fake IDs

The detained individuals, who reportedly came to India in search of jobs had fake labour cards with them. Authorities seized all documents for verification and are probing the authenticity of their identification.  

The detainees are currently being questioned at the Chitradurga Fort Police Station. Officials said the suspects would undergo a medical examination before being taken to Bengaluru for further investigation.  

Police suspect a larger network aiding Bangladeshi nationals in entering and settling in the area. Efforts are underway to uncover the extent of the operation and identify those involved.
