According to Louis Saha, a former attacker for Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo may return to Old Trafford. This conjecture tracks the arrival of former Portugal teammate Ruben Amorim as the club’s next permanent manager after Erik ten Hag’s sacking.

Ten Hag’s time at Manchester United came to an end in controversy, particularly when Ronaldo left the team abruptly in November 2022. The two had a number of public disputes; one of the most prominent episodes was Ronaldo’s absence on a substitution call-through. When Ronaldo attacked Ten Hag and the team in a well-publicized interview with British TV personality Piers Morgan, tensions raised even further.

Since Ronaldo agreed to end his contract, this split finally resulted in his leaving of Manchester United. Later in December 2022, he relocated to Saudi Arabia and joined Al-Nassr.

Ten Hag is now gone, but Saha thinks Ronaldo may be back at Manchester United. Speaking with Betfred, the former Red Devils forward offered his opinions on the matter, saying that the management change would open the path for the return of the great striker. As quoted by Sportskeeda, Saha said:
