Morena: In a horrifying incident, a drunk man allegedly bludgeoned his elderly mother to death with a heavy stone in Madhya Pradesh ‘s Morena district. According to sources, the incident took place when the deceased woman, identified as Ramkali Jatav, was in her sleep.

The tragic event occurred in the Dimni police station area in the district.

It is learnt that the accused attacked his mother fatally after she tried to pacify his fight with his wife. During probe, it was revealed that the accused, initially, beat her mother, and when she became injured, he hit her head with a heavy stone.

Media reports suggest that the police were alerted about the heart-wrenchong incident by accused’s neighbors who witnessed the shocking act.  However, the accused had fled the scene before cops arrived.

Preliminary probe revealed that the accused was under the influence of alcohol when he attacked his mother, leaving her dead on the spot. The woman’s body was sent for post-mortem.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case against the accused. A search was also launched to track him down.

In a separate incident in Madhya Pradesh, a 15-year-old girl was killed, and two others were injured after being hit by a truck Shivpuri district on November 20.
