Pune Shocker: Class 9 Student Slits Throat of Classmate in School After Quarrel

Pune: A very shocking incident was reported in Maharashtra’s Pune where a fifteen-year-old boy used a glass piece to slit the throat of his classmate in an international school, after a fight. The victim student is currently hospitalised and undergoing treatment and the accused student has been detained by the police.

Pune Shocker: 15-Year-Old Boy Slits Throat of Classmate in School

An international school student of class 9 had a fight with another classmate in school when teachers were away for the annual day preparations; in a fit of rage the accused student picked up a glass piece and slit the throat of his classmate, seriously injuring him. He also went on to threaten to kill the classmate.

Accused Student Detained, Produced Before JJB

The student who slit his classmate’s throat was detained by the Pune police and was then produced before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB). As directed by the JJB, the accused has been sent to an observation home and will be counselled there. 

He has been detained on the charges of Attempt toMurder under Sections 109 and 351(3) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). 

The injured student was immediately taken to the hospital by the teachers; the condition of the victim is now stable and an investigaion is underway.
