No More Zimbabar! PCB Humiliate Babar Azam, Remove Batter From Zimbabwe Squad

In another shock to Pakistan Cricket, the Pakistan Cricket Board just announced their new list for central contracts and squads for the upcoming series. In a shocking turn of events, Pakistan’s cricket star Babar Azam has been left out of both ODI and T20I squads when Pakistan face off against Zimbabwe. This means that no more ‘Zimbabar’ and whatever runs Babar Azam was getting will dry up now. On the bright side, the cricket world just witnessed what Pakistan can do without Babar as they are just coming off a test series win against England. 

PCB Release Statement After Removing Babar Azam From Zimbabwe Series

In a statement released by the Pakistan Cricket Board, the board explained the reason behind removing Babar Azam from the series and putting a stop to Zimbabar. 

“Babar Azam, Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi, who were given a break from the last two Tests against England, return for the Australia matches but will be rested for the Zimbabwe tour. Similarly, Mohammad Rizwan will be available for the Australia matches and Zimbabwe ODIs, but will be rested from the Zimbabwe T20Is.

This approach follows the selectors’ rotation policy and provides opportunities to domestic performers, aligning with the team’s strategy for the ICC Champions Trophy and beyond,” read the statement released by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
