Former Pakistan player Ramiz Raja has been chided over the questions he placed in front of Shan Masood, who recently won his first series as Test captain of Pakistan . Trailing 0-1 in the series at home against England, PCB made drastic changes to the side dropping players like Babar Azam , Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah from the remainder of the series. The hunch worked as Pakistan staged a comeback and won both the remaining Tests convincingly. This is Pakistan’s first series win at home since 2021.

Ramiz Raja’s Question To Shan Masood Did Not Land Well With Netizens

The string of losses left Shan Masood in a dismal position at 0-6 after the first six Tests, a fact that Ramiz Raja raised in front of him during an interaction post the culmination of the Pakistan vs England series.

“There are two things that you will see. One is how to play on seaming conditions and the other thing is if it is a one-off,” said Raja. “How did you achieve this, six losses in a row?”

“Ramiz bhai, we needed this win. The nation needed this win and I am really happy for Pakistan,” Masood replied. Raja could later be heard asking if Masood is planning to gain control over a particular shot. Masood responded, “Yes, I will be able to control it Ramiz bhai.”

Raja’s questions did not land well with netizens, who questioned the intent of the commentator.

Pakistan emerged victorious with a scoreline of 2-1 in the series.  This win came after four years of agony, where they even suffered the humiliation of losing a Test series at home to Bangladesh
