India Expects 48 Lakh Weddings in Next Two Months, May Generate ₹6 lakh crore business

New Delhi: According to Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT)India expects 48 lakh weddings in the next two months, may generate ₹6 lakh crore in business.

As compared to last year’s 35 lakh marriages, which generated ₹4.25 lakh billion, this year’s season shows significant rise, mainly due to a surge in auspicious marriage dates. 

Big Fat Indian Wedding Season which is predicted to generate a whopping business of Rs 6 lakh Cr.

CAIT reports that there were 11 auspicious dates in 2023 and 18 in 2024, which they predict to improve trade prospects across sectors. 4.5 lakh weddings are expected to take place in Delhi alone.
