1 Dead, 1 Injured As Deadly LPG Cylinder Explosion Blows Away House In Delhi

New Delhi: A deadly cylinder blast rocked Delhi’s Krishan Vihar area on Saturday afternoon leading to the collapse of part of a residential building, leaving one woman dead and another critically injured. The incident took place at a house located in Q-Block of Krishan Vihar’s Hanuman Mandir Wali Gali. On information, a team of firefighters rushed to the spot and initiated a rescue operation at the site. 

According to a senior police official, the incident took place at around 3.39 pm on Saturday, following which the local police and the team of firefighters rushed to the spot. Upon arrival, they found that the explosion had severely damaged a portion of the house, which was a two-story building. 

According to a senior fire official, the LPG cylinder explosion caused the collapse of half of the house. The deceased has been identified as Rajni (24), who was found dead at the scene, while another victim, identified as Renu (20), suffered severe burn injuries. 

The injured has been rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital by a CATS Ambulance for urgent medical treatment.

The police team of the Sultanpuri Police Station, has initiated a probe into the cause of the explosion.

Further details regarding the incident are being investigated.
