New Delhi: At the India Economic Summit 2024, hosted by Republic Media Network, Dr Arvind Panagariya, chairperson of the Finance Commission, shared his views on India’s economic growth and the country’s future trajectory. Dr Panagariya, while highlighting that India is growing faster than any other economy in the world, praised the young population and the central government’s diplomacy, which resulted in the nation’s rising status.

Addressing at the IES 2024, Panagariya also emphasized the need for a balanced approach to freebies, ensuring they don’t lead to large expenditures. He also stressed that freebies shouldn’t become socialist models.
