FIR Against Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma In Maddipadu Over Andhra CM Naidu’s Morphed Images

Maddipadu: Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has been booked by the Andhra Pradesh police for allegedly posting morphed images of Andhra Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan on social media. According to the reports, a case has been registered against Ram Gopal Varma at Maddipadu police station in Prakasam district and initiated a legal action against him. 

Superintendent of Police (SP, Prakasam District) AR Damodar said that Varma was booked for allegedly morphing the pictures of CM Naidu, Deputy CM Kalyan and their family members and posting them on social media.

“We registered a case against Ram Gopal Varma at Maddipadu police station (Prakasam district) for morphing the photographs of the present CM (Naidu), Deputy CM (Kalyan) and his family members in an offensive way,” Damodar told PTI.

According to the official, the case was registered on the basis of a complaint received from a man, identified as Ramalingam (45).

The complaint was lodged on Sunday night against the filmmaker for allegedly uploading derogatory posts on social media, which reportedly undermined the standing of the CM, Deputy CM and their family members in the society.

Further legal action is being taken in the matter.
