Fire Breaks Out in South Kolkata Market

Kolkata: A fire broke out on Wednesday in a market near Anwar Shah Road in south Kolkata, according to a Fire Brigade official.

He said that 16 fire engines were deployed to control the blaze.

Several shops at South Kolkata’s Sandhya Bazar were gutted in a major fire.

A X user shared a video on the social media where fire brigade workers are seen extinguish the fire in the market.

No one was reported to be injured or trapped in the blaze, a police officer said.

The fire, which was reported at 3.20 pm, broke out at Sandhya bazar near Anwar Shah Road.
