Republic TV Network’s Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami delivered the opening address at the India Economic Summit , India’s biggest business event, expressing gratitute to the guests for being part of the grand event. 

Arnab Goswami said that the Republic Media Network is the only journalist-owned News organisation of this scale in the world. “We must be independent in spirit, ideology, ownership and finances. Republic Media Network will always stand the test of time as the only independently run journalist-owned network professionally managed in a country which is the world’s largest democracy,” he said. 

“At a time when corporates and corporate entities think that they can buy over the media business, the Republic Media Network stands as a colossus challenging that idea,  believing that it is journalists first, editorial first, news first,” he said.

Arnab Goswami said for Republic, News means doing service to the country. “Many people can claim to do the News first. But everything we do here is the service of the nation,” he said. 

He also said that a Global Newsroom at the Republic Media Network complex will be a reality soon. “We are not a middle power anymore, we are a great power. India will become a global superpower and if media is not there then it won’t be able to become a super global power. We are dedicated to making India a global power,” he added.

He said Republic Media Network Headquarters is by far the most advanced, state-of-the-art,  extremely technologically advanced, massively scaled-up news complex.

“You will love the brick.  But let me tell you, it is not the brick that makes an organization. It is the people who live within it. And we are living a dream.  It’s like a fantasy for all of us.  We are not dreamers alone, but we are people who put our heart into it and make that happen.  We don’t just dream. We work hard every day for that. And the result of that hard work is this Republic Media Network Complex,” he said. 

The Republic Media Network is hosting the fourth edition of the highly anticipated  India Economic Summit today at its headquarters — the largest news center in Asia today. The summit has brought together a diverse group of leading policymakers, business moguls, and industry experts to explore the economic roadmap for a prosperous, developed India.

Under the theme “Viksit Bharat: Bullseye,” the event focuses on India’s potential to emerge as a $50 trillion economy by 2047, aligning with the country’s aspirations for innovation, infrastructure development, and inclusive growth.

Nirmala Sitharaman , India’s Finance Minister, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. With her experience in leading the country’s fiscal policy and financial reforms, her keynote address is expected to provide invaluable insights into the government’s vision for the Indian economy.
