PM to Attend G20 Summit in Brazil, with Visits to Nigeria and Brazil

New Delhi: The Prime Minister of India will undertake a significant international tour in November 2024, strengthening ties with key global partners. From November 16-17, he will visit Nigeria, the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the country in 17 years. During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold talks to review the strategic partnership between India and Nigeria and explore avenues to enhance bilateral relations. He will also address the Indian community in Nigeria.

Following this, the Prime Minister will travel to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from November 18-19 to attend the G20 summit, engaging with global leaders on key issues.

The tour will conclude with a state visit to Guyana from November 19-21, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister since 1968. In Georgetown, the Prime Minister will participate in the second Caricom-India summit, meeting with leaders of Caricom countries to further strengthen India’s ties with the region. “Prime Minister will also participate in the second Caricom-India summit and hold meetings with leaders of Caricom member countries to further enhance India’s long-standing friendship with the region,” the Ministry of External Affairs confirmed.
