Jamshedpur: After Haryana , Rahul Gandhi has once again promised his flop ‘Khatakhat’ list of freebies to lure Jharkhand voters ahead of the Assembly elections, to be held in two phases on November 13 and 20. The Congress scion has promised voters in Jharkhand to provide cheap LPG cylinders, monthly financial assistance to women among others.

Addressing a public meeting, Congress leader and Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi said, “How much loan did PM Modi waive off for your children?… Not even a single rupee. He waived off the Rs 16 lakh crore loan of 25 people like Adani and Ambani. Congress-INDIA Alliance has decided that the amount of money these people have given to billionaires, we will put that much money in your bank account…”

“After winning the election, INDIA Alliance will give Rs. 2500 every month in the bank account of the women of Jharkhand. On the 1st of January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, and September, you will get Rs 2500 in your bank account ‘Khata Khat, Khata Khat’. Every person will get a 7 kg ration every month and the gas cylinder will cost Rs. 450. For anybody who falls sick in Jharkhand, we are bringing a new health insurance scheme… If you need to get any operation done… even the poorest of the poor will go to the hospital and the Jharkhand government will provide them free treatment up to Rs. 15 lakh after we form the government…,” Rahul Gandhi said.

Rahul attacks Centre

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attacked the BJP -led Centre, alleging that its policies on demonetisation and Goods and Services Tax (GST) were weapons to kill farmers, labourers and the poor in the country. He also claimed that a battle is on in India between the ideologies of the BJP-RSS and INDIA bloc, who are believers of hatred and love, respectively.

The battle is also between violence and unity, he claimed.

“Policies of Narendra Modi are responsible for spreading unemployment in India. Demonetisation, GST are weapons to kill the poor, farmers and labourers,” he said while addressing a poll rally in Jamshedpur.

“The BJP-RSS are playing politics to divide India on the basis of caste, religion and language. The Congress wants to protect the Constitution of India, while the BJP-RSS is hell-bent on destroying it,” Gandhi alleged.

The Congress leader also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of funding capitalists who in turn invest money abroad. He exuded confidence that they would defeat Modi and work for welfare of the masses.
