Kuldeep Yadav Not Part Of Team India Squad For Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Kuldeep Yadav, who is a proven match-winner for India especially in the limited overs format has bowed out of the 5-match series. As per the official notification released by BCCI on its official website, Kuldeep was not in the scheme of things due to his groin injury, and the board has sent a referral to the BCCI Centre of Excellence to seek a resolution for his issues.

“Kuldeep Yadav was unavailable for selection for the tour of Australia since he has been referred to the BCCI Centre of Excellence after the end of the ongoing Test series against New Zealand for long-term resolution of his chronic left groin issue.”

Kuldeep Yadav is a part of the Team India squad that is struggling against New Zealand in the ongoing tour. He played the first Test in Bengaluru, where he picked up three wickets. However, he got replaced by Washington Sundar in the second Test.

The leg-spinner has emerged as a premier wicket-taker for India lately. Thus, him not being on board could put Rohit Sharma in a spot of bother.
