Jamshedpur: Exuding confidence on the outcome of the Assembly polls, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that the voters of Jharkhand will give a befitting reply to Congress over its ploy of caste-divide politics in a similar fashion to Haryana

In an exclusive conversation with Republic TV, Home Minister Amit Shah said, “The voters of Jharkhand will give a befitting reply to Congress’ caste politics just like the people of Haryana. Just wait for the outcome of Maharashtra and Jharkhand elections.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has intensified campaigning in poll-bound Jharkhand. He held a roadshow in Jamshedpur on Saturday.

Uproot JMM-Congress Govt To Stop Corruption

In another poll campaign, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday called the JMM-Congress govt the “most corrupt” administration in the country and urged the people to remove them from power.

“The Congress, JMM government is the most corrupt government in the entire country. It needs to be changed… If you want to stop this corruption, then uproot the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Congress government. Those who have stolen your money will not be spared,” he said.

The 81-seat Jharkhand Legislative Assembly will go to the polls in two phases on November 13 and 20, with vote counting set for November 23. A total of 2.6 crore eligible voters, including 1.31 crore males, 1.29 crore females, 11.84 lakh first-time voters, and 66.84 lakh young voters, are expected to participate.

In the 2019 Assembly elections, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) won 30 seats, the BJP secured 25, and the Congress claimed 16 seats. In comparison, the 2014 elections saw the BJP winning 37 seats, the JMM securing 19, and the Congress obtaining just 6 seats.
