Earlier on Wednesday, the Border Security Force (BSF), in collaboration with Tripura Police and forest officials, destroyed around 65,000 fully matured cannabis plants cultivated across 10 hectares in the Gilamura village forest area, located in the Sonamura police station jurisdiction of Sepahijala district.

Acting on specific intelligence about illegal ganja cultivation, BSF personnel carried out the operation by uprooting and burning the plants. The BSF, in coordination with its partner agencies, continues to make significant efforts to promote a drug-free society.
