The Ballon D’Or award ceremony was held last night in Paris, France and saw Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri taking home the biggest indiviual award in football. There was also mass outrage regarding the awarding of the Ballon D’Or this year as it was earlier thought that Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr. was going to win the award up until the last moment when reports came out that it will be Rodri and not Vinicius Jr. who will be taking home the Ballon D’Or. 

Amidst all of this, Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal ranked 8th in the standings for the Ballon D’Or at jist the age of 17. The Barcelona star continues to make headlines as he dazzles the footballing world. With him ranking 8th in the Ballon D’Or, fans flooded social media with praises for the young star.
