Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul, the fight that was making waves all over the world finally materialised inside the four-sided ring on Friday at the iconic Madison Square Garden. Contradictory to popular opinions, no knock-out transpired in the match-up as both fighters held their ground for the entire 16 minutes. The fight went down to the wire and after three rounds of intense action, it was Paul who was adjudged the winner via a unanimous decision.

Mike Tyson Receives Kudos For Putting Up A Show At The Age Of 58

Despite losing, Mike Tyson is receiving acclamation and plaudits from fight fans worldwide. The Iron Mike not only competed at the age of 58 but also kept a much fitter and active in circuit Jake Paul at bay and had the stamina to look for a kill till the end. Even Paul bowed and showcased his respect for the legend just moments before the completion of the contest.

Tyson’s performance has somewhat undermined the victory of Jake Paul, leading the knowers of the game to ruminate about what have happened had the prime Mike Tyson, who was feared as the “The baddest man on the planet”, entered the ring instead of the one who was more than twice the age of Jake Paul. According to the well-known broadcaster Piers Morgan, Mike Tyson of the old would have finished The Problem Child inside the first 90 seconds.

Here’s what he wrote: “Prime Mike Tyson would have destroyed Jake Paul in 90 seconds. A 58-year-old Tyson went 8 rounds against a much fitter and very capable boxer half his age. Mock him all you like, but Mike’s got the heart of a lion, balls of steel, and will always be an absolute legend.”

However, as time could not be manipulated, one could only wonder about different scenarios in hindsight.
