New Delhi: The private aircraft carrier IndiGo has warned travellers of potential delays in flight operations and shifts in flight schedules due to reduced visibility caused by dense fog and high pollution. The flight carrier on Sunday notified the flyers of delays in flights at the airport amidst dense fog and high pollution levels in Delhi causing concerns for air travel.

In a statement on Sunday night, IndiGo alerted passengers that fog in Delhi may result in slow-moving traffic and delays in flight schedules.

Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), which operates the Indira Gandhi International Airport, has implemented low visibility procedures to ensure safe flight operations. Despite the challenges, DIAL reported that flight operations were normal as of Sunday night. However, the airport operator advised passengers to check with their airlines for the latest flight information.

The national capital is currently experiencing high levels of pollution, leading to lower visibility in various parts of the city. The fog and pollution may cause disruptions to flight schedules, and passengers are advised to plan accordingly. IndiGo and DIAL are monitoring the situation closely and will provide updates as necessary.

Passengers travelling to or from Delhi are recommended to check with their airlines for the latest flight information and to plan for potential delays. The safety of passengers and crew is the top priority, and airlines and airport operators are taking necessary precautions to ensure safe operations amidst the challenging weather conditions.
