Jiribam: A fierce gun battle broke out  on Monday between CRPF personnel and suspected militants from the Suspension of Operations (SOO) groups in Manipur ‘s Jiribam district, resulting in the martyrdom of one CRPF soldier. Sources reported that at least 10 militants were killed during the clash, although the exact number of casualties on the militant side remains unconfirmed.

The militants, identified as Kuki insurgents, had attacked the Borobekra Police Station (PS), where both state and central forces were stationed.
