Gwailor: In a shocking incident in Gwalior, a wife discovered her husband of four years begging on the streets while dressed in a saree and wearing makeup. The couple had been married in 2020, but they had never consummated their marriage. The wife was told that her husband had medical reasons for not engaging in a physical relationship and was undergoing surgery.

The situation came to light when the woman saw her husband begging alongside other eunuchs in the market, wearing a saree and makeup as a woman.

The woman filed a complaint at the Mahila Thana, claiming that she had given her husband’s family significant dowry, including lakhs of rupees and household goods. She also alleged that she was denied food, physically assaulted by her in-laws and husband, and sent back to her maternal home whenever she fell ill. Additionally, the family reportedly demanded a sum of Rs. 2 lakh and a scooter as further dowry. When these demands were not met, she was reportedly thrown out of the house and sent back to her maternal home.

When confronted by his wife, the husband claimed that he worked for an event management company and had to dress as a woman for his job. Further investigations are underway, and the police have launched a probe into the incident, including the dowry allegations.
