Kolkata Police STF Arrests Man With Huge Cache Of Firearms, Ammunition

Kolkata: The Special Task Force of the Kolkata Police, on Saturday, arrested a man after they found five firearms and 90 rounds of live cartridges in his possession. The accused has been identified as Mohammad Ismail Khan. The police have recovered three single-shot firearms, two 7 mm semi-automatic pistols, 50 rounds of 8 mm cartridges, and 40 rounds of 7.65 mm cartridges from accused’s possession. 

According to the police the accused, Md Ismail Khan was arrested near Sealdah railway station based on a specific intelligence input. He will be presented in court on Sunday.

A senior police official stated that the STF seized three single-shot firearms, two 7 mm semi-automatic pistols, 50 rounds of 8 mm cartridges and 40 rounds of 7.65 mm cartridges from the possession of Md Ismail Khan, a native of Chatra district in Jharkhand .

Further legal action into the matter is being taken by the police.
