New Delhi: A man who had threatened YouTuber Saurabh Joshi to pay a ransom of Rs 2 crore on behalf of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang has been arrested in Uttarakhand on Monday.

Saurabh Joshi, a resident of Haldwani in Uttarakhand, was asked to pay the ransom in the next five days.

The letter mentioned that if he does not pay the money and goes to the police, then his family members will be killed one by one.

Saurabh Joshi had lodged a police complaint in this regard.

“Hello Saurav Joshi, I am Karan Bishnoi, from Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This letter is being sent to give you an important information. Our boss Lawrence Bishnoi has ordered you to give Rs 2 crore to our gang. If you do not give the income in cash, then you or any member of your family have been ordered to be killed,” the letter stated.  

An FIR has been lodged against unknown persons under the sections of threat and extortion and further investigation is being carried out, police said.
