Noida: In Uttar Pradesh’s Noida, a man was allegedly stabbed to death after an altercation at a meat shop on Thursday leading to a major outrage in the area. The Noida police confirmed the incident saying that the incident occurred after a confrontation took place between two customers at the shop on Thursday evening. The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem and a manhunt has been launched to nab the absconding accused. 

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone I) Rambadan Singh said that the deceased has been identified as Shahzad (35). However, the accused person has not been identified yet. According to the police official, the deceased and an unknown person reached the shop of one Gulzar in Sorkha village on Thursday evening to buy meat.

Shahzad asked the other person to give him the towel he was wearing to use it to take the meat in it.

The accused got angry at this and a scuffle broke out between the two. He picked up a knife at the meat shop and stabbed Shahzad in the stomach, he said.

Police reached the spot after receiving information regarding the stabbing. They took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. Police have launched a search for the accused but no concrete information has been received about him so far. 

Further legal action into the matter is being taken.
