New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hit out at opposition leader Rahul Gandhi for mocking the saffron party’s ‘Ek Hai to Safe Hai’ slogan saying that “he must understand that he stands exposed.”
In a post on X, BJP leader Amit Malviya said, “On 10th Nov 2024, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy publicly acknowledged accepting money from the Adani Group.”
“Today, Rahul Gandhi was ranting against the same corporate group. Besides, there is a long list of investments and MoUs signed by Congress ruled States, with the Adani Group, in the last ten years alone. It was infact Uddhav Thackeray led MVA, which signed off Dharavi’s redevelopment project to the Adani Group, on extremely liberal terms, which the MahaYuti had to tighten later, to protect the interest of Mumbai and residents of Dharavi. Not to forget close links between Adani and Robert Vadra,” he added.
Amit Malviya further said, “Rahul Gandhi must understand that he stands exposed.”
This comment comes as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a press brief in Mumbai ahead of the November 20 assembly polls said, “The Dharavi redevelopment is unfair, and it is being done to benefit only one person. We are not convinced how tenders are being given… Only one person is given all the ports, airports and wealth of India.”
He further added, “A total of Rs 7 lakh crore worth of projects like Foxconn and Airbus have been shifted to Gujarat, taking away 5 lakh jobs from you. This election is a battle of ideologies — between a few billionaires and the poor,” where he vowed that a Congress-led government would prioritise the interests of Maharashtra’s citizens.
