RBI Customer Care Dept Receives Threat Call from ‘Lashkar-e-Taiba CEO’, Mumbai Police Launch Probe

Mumbai: Amid a spate of threat calls being received by airports, educational institutions, hotels and other industries, a threat call has been made to the customer care department of the Reserve Bank of India ( RBI ); Mumbai Police suspects it to be a prank but has launched an investigation for the same.

RBI Customer Care Dept Receives Threat Call from LeT CEO

A threatening call to the Reserve Bank’s customer care department has been made and the caller has claimed to be the ‘Lashkar-e-Taiba’s CEO’. The threat call has prompted a case of hoax call at the MRA Marg Police Station in Mumbai. 

Mumbai Police Launches Investigation, Prank Suspected

Following the threat call and registration of the case, the Mumbai Police has launched a probe and are investigating the caller’s identity; however, the police suspects that it may be a prank.
