IPL Mega Auction 2025: Over the years, the Indian Premier League has truly expanded. Every season there are new names and they get a platform to make a name for themselves. Now that cricket is catching on globally, you find players from traditionally non-cricketing countries participating. This year is nothing different as Thomas Jack Draca becomes the first Italian player to enter the IPL auction pool. For him, it is a big occasion as he is the first one from his country to reach where no one else has. So, who is Thomas Jack Draca and does he have a realistic chance of getting picked?

Who is Thomas Jack Draca?

Thomas Jack Draca is an Italian born cricketer. He has in the past represented the Mumbai Indians franchise, not in the IPL, but in ILT20. 

#The Italian debuted for his country in T20Is against Luxembourg on June 9, 2024, picking up eight wickets across his four matches. 

#The 24-year-old is a right-arm medium pacer and he secured the 325th slot in the auction list, just ahead of Canada’s Harsh Thaker. He has decent pace that can trouble the batter and is skiddy. He can also wield the willow in the backend of the innings.

#Not just in ILT20, but he has been a part of Brampton Wolves in Canada’s T20 league.

Will he get a Bid? 

Ideally, MI should place a bid for their very own. But in case, they do not, a number of teams would be eyeing his services because of his ability to surprise the batter. 

NOTE: The mega auction for the Indian Premier League 2025 will be held on November 24 and 25 in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah.
