As far as the premeditated plans made by the ICC, the Champions Trophy was to be played in February-march, but rising tensions between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has put the tournament’s future into crisis. As per a report published in Cricbuzz, the IPL will start on March 14 and will be played till May 25.

Now this leaves the ICC in a troubled space with a very small window left for them to shift and organize the Champions Trophy if PCB and BCCI do not reach a mutual agreement. As far as the PCB is concerned, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is scheduled to be played from Aril 2025 and it directly clashes with the IPL. The PSL will have to address the lot of problems as all the top international players will play the IPL without any grain of doubt.
