Pakistan beat Australia and grabbed the ODI series 2-1. Now the team is focussing on the upcoming T20I series which will start on November 14, 2024. Ahead of the crucial series Pakistan’s interim white-ball head coach Jason Gillespie has slammed the CA (Cricket Australia) for giving all the attention to Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) and neglecting the Pakistan-Australia ODI series. Notably, India will face Australia in the five-match test series starting on Nov 22.

“To be honest, I pretty much saw no promotion of our one-day series by Cricket Australia, which was a bit of a surprise. It’s pretty obvious that they’re prioritizing the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series against India because I saw no promotion of this series,” said Gillespie. The Pakistan coach and former Aussie pacer praised the broadcasters but he is not happy with the attitude of Australia’s cricket board. Gillespie clearly said that he didn’t see any promotion and advertising of the PAK-AUS ODI series. ‘It was pretty clear to us where CA’s priorities lie. That’s their prerogative and their decision but I just didn’t see any advertising, and promotion of this one-day series at all, the Pakistan Head Coach later added.

Jason Gillespie Feels Proud of Pakistan’s Recent Performance

Pakistan scripted history under Mohammad Rizwan’s leadership by defeating Australia in Australia. Pakistan lost the opening game against the hosts but bounced back and claimed the series by winning the remaining two matches. Pakistan’s bowlers seemed to be in the best form as they didn’t let the Australian batters cross the 200 runs in both the ODIs.
