Jasprit Bumrah PC: From Hailing Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma to Providing Update on Mohammed Shami

Ind vs Aus: On the eve of the Perth Test, India’s stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah addressed the press and answered some tough questions. Claiming that it is an honour to lead the country, Bumrah said that he is lucky to have got the opportunity. During the presser on Thursday, he also hailed Virat Kohli and said Rohit Sharma will always be our captain. He also provided an update on Mohammed Shami’s injury during the address.

‘No greater honour’

“There is no greater honour than playing Test cricket and to lead the side which very few have done in Indian cricket – this is the format I wanted to play from childhood,” Bumrah said.

SHAMI UPDATE

“Mohammad Shami is an integral part of this team. He’s started bowling and the management is keeping a close eye on him, hopefully you might see him here.”

“I don’t have to say anything on Virat Kohli the batter, He is one of the Greats of the game, He is the atmost perfect we have in the team. One or two series can go up & down, the confidence he has right is incredible”.

“Rohit Sharma is our captain and he’s done a wonderful job”.
