Manchester United Agree Terms For Ten Hag’s Replacement, Portuguese Becomes New Red Devils Manager

Manchester United on Monday took the bold call and sacked their manager Erik Ten Hag after woeful start to the season. The club confirmed that Ten Hag’s assistant manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy will be the interim manager until United finds a replacement. 

As it turns out, the INEOS group led Manchester United board have already found the replacement to Erik Ten Hag as they have agreed terms on Portuguese manager to take over at Old Trafford. 

Manchester United agree terms for new manager 

Manchester United have found their new manager. According to report by Fabrizio Romano, the Premier League club is all set to complete the signing of Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim. 

As per the report, United have agreed to pay 10 Million Euros to Sporting CP as release clause to complete the signing of Ruben. The Portuguese has already given his yes to Manchester United’s proposal and once the deal with Sporting CP is done, Amorim will take over as new MUFC manager.

Ruben Amorim’s record as manager

Ruben Amorim took over as the manager of Sporting CP back in 2020 and has since then managed to establish himself as one of the best Portuguese managers.

Amorim has won two Liga Portugal titles with Sporting CP in 2020-21 and 2023-24. Amorim has been named Liga Portugal Manager of the Month on 8 different occasions and has won the Manger of the Season twice. His appointment is certainly an exciting prospect for Manchester United fans.
