‘Should Retire’: Virat Kohli Slammed After Flopping Again For India vs Australia in 1st BGT Test

India vs Australia 1st Test: There was a lot of noise and pressure around Virat Kohli heading into the first Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia at Optus Stadium in Perth. Indian fans were hoping Virat Kohli could find his mojo down under.

However, Virat Kohli has flopped to perform for India once again as he departed for yet another low score of only five runs. This meant Virat Kohli’s poor run of form continued and as a result, Kohli was slammed by Indian Cricket Team fans. 

Virat Kohli flops once again

Virat Kohli was caught off guard by extra-bounce from Josh Hazlewood as Indian top order once again lost the plot and India have lost three wickets in the first session of Day 1. 

This continues Virat Kohli’s poor run of form in Test cricket and for the first time in seven years, Kohli has failed to breach the 20-run mark in five consecutive innings. In his last five innings, Kohli has scored only 28 runs with scores of 5, 1, 4, 17 and 1.

Virat Kohli asked to retire

It was an anxiety ridden innings by Virat Kohli in the first Test vs Australia and as a result fans of Indian Cricket Team were quick to slam Kohli for his poor display. Many fans took to social media and asked Kohli to retire.

It was a disastrous first session for India with four wickets falling inside the first session of the game.
