Babar Azam’s horrid run in the T20I format continues. The Pakistan batter struggled to get going in the 2nd Australia vs Pakistan T20I, perishing after a 3-ball stay at the crease. The former Pakistan skipper has been at the end of constant criticism for not showcasing intent with the bat in the shortest format of the game. And yet another failed outing has only put further weight on the flak.

Fans Tell Babar Azam To Leave T20i Format

Seemingly predicting the future, some of the Pakistan fans who were in attendance at SCG on Saturday were quite vocal about Babar Azam’s struggle in the T20I format, and blatantly put forward their combined opinion to the batter while sitting behind him, when he was fielding during the first innings of the match.

“Teri T20 vich jagah nahi banti, wapas laut ja. (You don’t deserve a place in the T20 team, go back).” Ohh Gussa Chad gaya haii. Bass Taaliyan Maare Jaa, Catch Chadh jaae (Oh look he is angry. Just clap and drop catches.), the fans remarked.

Babar Azam Squanders The Chance To Shut The Fans

After enduring the hurls, Babar Azam had the chance to shut these naysayers with his bat, but he could only add 3 runs to the board, which proved crucial in Pakistan’s 13-run loss to Australia.

The defeat meant the Pakistan team has gone down 0-2 in the series and there is no recovery from here as it is a 3-match affair only.
