‘The Joy To Play For England’: Harry Kane SLAMS Players Who Withdrew From England Squad

As the footballing world has gone on International break, all the countries are preparing for the UEFA Nations League matches, several players have decided to withdraw from the Nations League squad and returned back to their clubs. This has led to a raging debate regarding the fact that players are prioritizing their clubs over their national teams. Amidst this, England striker and captain Harry Kane has slammed the eight players who decided to withdraw from England’s squad for the upcoming Nations League matches. 

Harry Kane Slams Players Who Pulled Out Of Nations League 

England captain slammed the eight players who pulled out of the Nations League. While speaking to ITV Sport, Harry Kane expressed his disappointment in his fellow countrymen and their decision to withdraw from the national camp.

“I think the joy to play for England I think he (Gareth Southgate) brought that back. Every camp people were excited to come, every camp people wanted to play for England. That’s the most important thing, England comes before club. England is the most important thing you play as a professional footballer,” said Harry Kane expressing his disappointment. 

‘It’s A Tough Period’-Harry Kane 

Harry Kane while speaking to ITV Sport, further added, “It’s a shame this week, obviously it’s a tough period of the season. Maybe that’s been taken advantage of that a little bit, I don’t really like it if i’m totally honest.”

Some key players that pulled out of England’s squad for the Nations League includes Cole Palmer, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jack Grealish.

Harry Kane will be available for England in their upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Greece and Ireland.
