Mumbai: A new controversy has taken shape ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 after Kanhaiya Kumar’s sexist remarks against Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Devendra Fadnavis , the Deputy CM of Maharashtra. BJP has slammed the Congress for it’s leader’s objectionable remarks on Amruta Fadnavis.

Kanhaiya Kumar Makes Sexist Remark Against Amruta Fadnavis

While addressing a rally in Nagpur, Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar targeted Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ wife Amruta Fadnavis and made an objectionable, sexist remark over her social media usage and ‘making reels’.

Taking a jibe at the Maharashtra Deputy CM’s wife, Kanhaiya Kumar said, “It is the responsibility of all of us to save religion. It should not happen that we save religion and the wife of the Deputy Chief Minister keeps making reels on Instagram.”

Kanhaiya Kumar’s Attack on Amit Shah ‘s Son Jay Shah

Not only Amruta Fadnavis, Kanhaiya Kumar has also launched an attack on Jay Shah, son of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Kanhaiya Kumar said, “Jay Shah is making IPL team in BCCI and we are being made gamblers in the game by making a team in Dream 11.”

BJP Slams Congress Over Kanhaiya Kumar’s Statement

Slamming Congress over it’s party leader’s comment on Amruta Fadnavis, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla has said, “Kanhaiya Kumar, who considers Naxals as martyrs and mourns on the death anniversary of Afzal Guru, has made such a hateful and sexist remark on Maharashtra’s daughter and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis’ wife Amruta Fadnavis. To humiliate Maharashtra’s daughter in the state has become a part of Congress’ DNA.”
